Listening to Paul Gilbert and Dweezil talking about "Somebody Get Me a Doctor," and I have to say, can we talk about how awesome Michael Anthony's bass playing is on that track? Wicked.

Listening to this RWTD podcast makes me want to go back and listen to the early Van Halen records all the way through, as well as more obscure VH stuff (like the Brian May Star Fleet Project).

Lovin' Ep. 3 of Runnin' with the Dweezil! Paul Gilbert is so cool, and it's great to hear him playing Van Halen riffs as he talks about them.

I may be the only church musician ever to have referenced Frank Zappa in my job interview. When I interviewed 6 yrs ago for my current church job, a guy on the committee said, "I didn't expect to hear a Frank Zappa reference in a church job interview!"

Looks like another hot day in Nashville, although we may get a little more rain.
