Do you think music fans will return to concerts when the pandemic is over? Would you like to see concert venues return to the standard seating or social distancing pods?

Pods? like in Spinal Tap?

I didn’t vote ... I couldn’t, I’ve been attending shows since the 1970’s, anything less makes me feel cheated. Including FZ in 1980 and 81.

We have already lost so many venues, doors that will never open again. DZ mentions increased costs and he’s so right, plus insurance but when the venue allows 50 people instead of the 450 they would normally fill the place with, how much are tickets going to cost? How can an artist make money? I can’t imagine loosing shows, ...  10,000 rabid Canadians watching Zappa plays Zappa at sunset during the Ottawa Bluesfest are these stories we’ll tell our grandkids because they are afraid of being in a room with more than 3 people? They keep saying  “The New Normal” I like to think one day we can get it back, that we WILL be together again. Let’s call this ....

The right now temporary bullshit Instead!

I think that people are itching to see live music again. What will make or break their future success are the ticket prices. Understandably, the industry has been starving for work and the need to re-coop from lost revenue caused by this pandemic and also that self employment ban in CA. Your shows have always been priced very reasonably and affordable, while arena and stadium ticket prices have risen beyond their value. The public needs to be sure that they will be safe in crowded places, and that may take a long time to happen.

It's going to be tricky because most of the costs will be put on the artists. The cost of doing business will rise while the amount of income, in terms of advance offers will be drastically lowered. Especially since it may take a long time for venues to be allowed to sell at full capacity. What this all means is that a considerable amount of artists will be stuck with higher costs and less income and touring may not even be worth their time or effort. We will have to see what happens and adjust as necessary.
